Par for the course

I noticed Obama fans were sexist a long time ago. They’re like Ron Paul fans except Ron Paul fans are libertarians who we already know are sexist and racist.

Matt Stoller: The 2008 Tone Comes from the Top

I keep hammering home the theme of sexism in the campaign because very few bloggers consistently point it out (me, Rosanne, Tennessee Guerilla Women, Taylor Marsh, Shakesville and The Reclusive Leftist) compared to the number of bloggers who cover Clinton campaign missteps or racist incidents. Redstar and NYCWeboy, however, are calling for more civility.

Redstar:

I fear we’re all carrying an unreasonable degree of resentment and hostility around when we should be working together to win elections and push forward our socio-political agendas. Or at least respecting one another’s different paths.

NYCWeboy: I Do So Always Hope That People Will Be Nice

Aren’t Obama supporters concerned about winning the general election? Or are they still whipped up in a froth about beating a woman? Straight from The Reclusive Leftist’s wingnut dad:

I personally have a hard time imagining that a lot of Republicans are going to vote for Obama. My father is a wingnut and I know from the emails and stuff he gets that the Repubs are voting for Obama wherever they can in our primaries because they think he’ll be easier to beat than Hillary.

Finally, they don’t call him the Blogfather for nothing:

I think she’s got a better shot at winning than the gamble of going with the untested Obama. Women composed about 60 percent of the electorate in both the Ohio and Texas primaries. Amazing. The Latino vote in Texas was nearly 1/3rd of the electorate, up from 25 percent in 2004. That’s Clinton’s base, women and Latinos, many of them whom voted Republican or Independent previously, or haven’t voted at all, that Clinton is turning into Democrats. It’s immensely under-appreciated, and god-forbid, may actually have coattails. The numbers for Clinton are very large and undeniably unique to her candidacy. I’ve mentioned this before, that I can see the path to Clinton winning, and it goes through the southwest and Florida with the Latino surge, and nationally, especially in the midwest, with the surge in women voting. I believe that the contest has made a dramatic turn, and it points in the direction of Clinton winning the nomination.

Maybe Hillary1000 made a difference! Exactly a month ago on my blog, I didn’t even know Redstar was a Clinton supporter. Then she started Hillary1000.

Goodnight!
