It’s going past Denver

Sen. Clinton gave a pretty astonishing interview to the Washington Post in which she appears to say she will stay in the race till the convention in August, where she will take her fight to the credentials committee to have the delegates from the non-sanctioned Michigan and Florida primaries seated. The convention of course starts on August 25th, roughly five months from now.

Why is this astonishing? It’s astonishing your guy is still in the race since Wright caused both candidates to hit their all-time lows against McCain. From 3/6-3/27, Obama fell from 63.9% to 46.9%, Clinton fell from 43.9% to 38.3% and we’re just two weeks into this story. Why is it astonishing she stays in the race if her supporters really want her to continue? If 62% of Democrats want her to continue?

The Obama campaign has always been willing to ‘resolve’ the matter by splitting those states’ delegates down the middle.

That’s neutering people’s votes. My brother’s mil in Florida was pissed off at the suggestion.

Sen. Clinton seems to be saying pretty clearly that she plans on taking her campaign all the way to Denver. By saying she’ll continue through the remaining ten contests, regardless of the outcome, and implicitly, I take it, regardless of any superdelegate declarations over the next two months, Sen. Clinton is saying it’s no longer about pledged delegates, or superdelegates or popular votes. It’s about Florida and Michigan. Period.

It’s her supporters who want her to take it all the way to Denver. She always says it’s her supporters who want her to go on AND SHE’S NOT LYING. WE’RE THAT PISSED! We don’t just want her to take it to Denver. We’re taking it ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE. WE’RE PISSED AND SHE’S PISSED. GET OUT OF THE WAY.
