More write-ins

All examples have been different people who won’t vote for Obama:

I am a man and I have been on the ground in 6 states for Hillary. Last December I was honestly enthusiastic to vote for any of Hillary’s rivals if she should lose. however I have never seen such tolerance for sexism in my life. I cannot in good conscience vote for a candidate that tolerates, encourages, embraces and abets sexism to win. Do not take 50% of the population for granted and expect them and their supporters to make nice in November.

I’m an older white woman who’s furious, but I’d begun to wonder if there was something wrong with me. Finally I’m reading posts from others who feel as I do and are spelling it out. I’ve sent for the forms and intend to register as an Independent after decades as a Democrat. My husband is for Hillary but says he’ll vote McCain over Obama. I won’t give McCain my vote, but Obama won’t get it either. It will be a write-in most likely. This election cycle has been the worst of my life and many have been bad. All this time and I truly didn’t realize how much women are hated in this country.

As a woman and lifelong Democrat, throughout this primary, I have felt betrayed by the party and by the media who participated in constant abuse of Hillary Clinton and, as a result, abuse of all women. I have been further disappointed by my female friends who have been willing to overlook the blatant, misogynous attacks on Senator Clinton because of some misplaced loyalty they feel toward the Democratic Party. I will share your article with my friends as I continue to write my own version of the reasons I will not be marking my ballot for Obama in the general election.

NObama-No Way

If women’s basic rights are so tenuous, hanging by such a thread, then the young women the media is lauding should step out from behind their text messaging and take to the streets. Because what we think is a democracy is clearly a lie, and voting for the lesser of two evils will only serve to mask that lie. Bloody brilliant. Obama will never, ever have my vote and I wouldn’t trust him with SCOTUS noms anyway. He’d pander to whatever way the wind blew, as long as his ego was stroked.

As a lifelong Democrat and a Michigan resident who voted for Hillary in the primary, I have spent the past several months in a state of anger and disgust watching the media humiliate and demonize Senator Clinton, missrepresent her comments and those of President Clinton and accuse them both of racism while giving Obama a free pass. I have blogged on other websites and called a few so-called progressive talk radio shows complaining about the bias and utterly cruel and negative comments only to be hung up on and trashed by the Obama supporters. They are not going to shove Obama down our throats. The higherarchy of the Democratic party has failed us and denigrated many women as well. Where have all the women been and why have they allowed this to happen? Why have we stood for this so long? Thank God for Geraldine.

I am watching the usual cable networks this evening and had to turn off CNN after hearing David Gurgen refer to the Kentucky voters as a bunch of rednecks who voted overwhelmingly for Hillary because he claims they are racists. CNN should be boycotted along with MSNBC for their negative and biased reporting. The disloyality of the Democratic party leadership and the blatant bias of the media really needs to be addressed. I would like to organize a protest march in the suburban area of Detroit where I live. Our votes have been disenfranchised and I know there are many women here in Michigan who are Hillary supporters who feel that it is time to speak out.

Lets get more “Woman for Hillary” out there and start protesting. We all know that she is by far the best candidate and I am sickened by the way Obama has been forced on us. No. I am not a racist, but I and so many others that I know, both male and female, fear Obama’s lack of experience and inability to beat John McCain. It appears obvious that the Democratic Party will lose another one for us, thanks to poor leadership and bad judgement. We can’t allow the inept leadership of the Democratic Party and the Misogynistic Media to choose our President for us. We are still a Democracy.

Here’s a list of Sen. Obama’s senior campaign staff and advisors. No obviously Latino or Asian names in the group and very few women.

    Campaign staff and policy team
On January 14, 2007, the Chicago Tribune reported that Obama had begun assembling his 2008 presidential campaign team, to be headquartered in Chicago.[17] His team includes campaign manager David Plouffe and media consultant David Axelrod, who are partners at Chicago-based political consulting firm AKP&D Message and Media.[18] Communications director Robert Gibbs was previously press secretary for John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign.[19]

Other members of the campaign staff include Deputy National Campaign Director Steve Hildebrand,[20] New Media Director Joe Rospars,[21] speechwriter Jon Favreau,[22] national press secretary Bill Burton, travelling press secretary Dan Pfeiffer, policy development Cassandra Butts, finance director Julianna Smoot, research director Devorah Adler, and pollsters Paul Harstad and Cornell Belcher.[23]

A number of Obama’s top aides have backgrounds with former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle,[24] who left the Senate due to re-election defeat at the same time Obama was entering it.

Obama’s economic advisors include chief Austan Goolsbee, who has worked with him since his U.S. Senate campaign, Paul Volcker, Warren Buffett,[25] health economist David Cutler and Jeffrey Leibman.[26] His foreign policy advisors included a core of nine people: Gregory Craig, Richard Danzig, Scott Gration, Anthony Lake, Denis McDonough, Samantha Power, Ben Rhodes, Susan Rice and Daniel Shapiro[27] until March, 2008 when Samantha Power stepped down. A larger group of 250 advisers is divided into subgroups of about 20 people, each focusing on a specific area or topic.[28] His legal affairs advisors include Martha Minow, Ronald Sullivan, Christopher Edley Jr., Eric Holder and Cassandra Butts.[29]

Among his field staff, Paul Tewes and Mitch Stewart led Obama’s winning Iowa caucus campaign and one or the other of them directed field operations in many other crucial states, including Nevada, Minnesota, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.
